San Diego was teeming with do-gooders this weekend whose super powers, both yoga and otherwise, were no match for even a villain with a PhD in “horribleness.” Big Happy Day’s very own do-gooder Kasey Luber threw on her yoga mat cape and mala bead headdress and flew next door to the Comic Con Conference to bring yoga to some very interesting comic book characters. Kasey even dodges an accidental kick to the head, all in the name of spreading the good yoga word. Yogi superheroes seem to be an ongoing theme lately.
Mission Bay proved to be a beautiful place for some serious paddle-board yoga. There’s something unmistakeably serene about headstands on the water. On Saturday, Big Happy Day caught up with a nostalgic Cyndi Lee, who reminisces about her yoga roots beginning in southern California in the seventies. Rod Stryker and Vinnie Marino seem to be loving the San Diego scenery as well. In this video, we’ll lounge poolside, ride in boats, elliptigo bikes, and practically walk on water to make it to a yoga class!
San Diego hasn’t seen the last of the Yoga Journal Conferences. They will be returning in 2014 to bring yoga to the masses once again. In the mean time though, you can catch them at the iconic Estes Park in Colorado for an entire week of amazing yogic fun beginning on September 30, 2012.
Big Happy Day LLC was founded to create a venue that allows the many facets of yoga and spirituality to be accessible to the world through video. Big Happy Day LLC creates online video campaigns and provides daily video coverage of events within the world of LOHAS, specifically with an emphasis on Yoga and Kirtan. The focus of the content, whatever it may be, spreads the message of yoga, health and awareness while using a conscious media model that connects likeminded companies with teachers, artists and charities within the community.
