About Kia

Kia Miller grew up in the Falkland Islands, riding horses over vast acres of wild land. Moving to England at 15, she soon joyfully discovered yoga and has been studying with world-renowned teachers in India, Europe and the US ever since.

A successful model and filmmaker, Kia has traveled all over the world experiencing many different cultures and ways of life. Yoga was her way to stay centered and nourished through this time. She is passionate about living and breathing yoga, and feels the teachings are a blessing for all.

She is certified in the Ashtanga / Vinyasa Flow tradition, as well as Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan.

Kia is a devoted Yogini and teacher who imparts her wonderful passion for life and well-being in her teaching. Her style pulls from multiple yogic disciplines, and is both intuitive and steeped in the traditional aspects of yoga. Her classes focus on breath, alignment and the interconnection between mind, body and spirit, allowing students to work at their own pace in a safe and transformational environment.

Kia views the science and spirituality of Yoga as a path to explore our inner selves and elevate our consciousness, while creating a counter-balance to the stresses of modern life.

Kia’s mission in life is to inspire, elevate and educate as many people as possible, to encourage all to live to their fullest, most creative and most joyful potential!

Ignite Your Inner Fire! Core Work & Discovering Your Bandhas with Joan Hyman

Sunday October 24th, 2010 Sunday 1:00-4:00pm

Core & Bandhas are common terms in yoga classes today. What are they and how do we find them? Everything comes from our core. When we learn to access this area the poses seems lighter and the physical effort is minimal. Bandhas are energy locks in our subtle body which help regulate the flow of prana (life force). When engaging these locks, energy is forced to spread throughout these pathways to help us lift off the ground and take flight! In this workshop we will focus on the center of our torso in all directions using breath work and asanas that will help us engage our core and find our bandhas! All levels welcome.

Click HERE for full information from the YogaWorks website and to sign up today!
