Michael Joel Hall: DC Yoga Teacher Attacked & How You Can Help

Michael Joel Hall, the Washington DC yoga teacher who was the victim of a brutal assault, like so many other yoga teachers, does not have the health insurance necessary for paying the bills on the extensive surgery that is required as a result of the attack.

In an effort to help raise funds, a facebook group organized by friends and colleauges has issued the following statement. We talk so much about sangha—community—friends, this is an instance where we can truly walk our talk:

Dear friends,

Michael Hall and Michael Roike were attacked Saturday night in a random act of violence. Thankfully, they are both alive and were not injured beyond repair. Sadly, Michael Hall was taken to the hospital and required surgery to repair a broken cheek bone.

To help support Michael Hall’s recovery and required surgery, I have created this event to share your thoughts, prayers, love and well wishes.

I have also created a PayPal donation link to help pay for these unexpected and unnecessary hospital expenses. Feel free to donate any amount you want and pass this event to other friends of Michael’s.

The Donation link is located here: http://bit.ly/MJHFund
