Jam of the Week | Imagine Dragons "On Top of the World"

Back by popular demand – the YOGANONYMOUS Jam of the Week — a chance to discover new (or old) music that you can incorporate into your practice, or just rock out with anytime of the day.

Although Sin City natives, Imagine Dragons, have been around since 2008, they have only recently become a staple in the world of mainstream music. Their first album, Night Visions, was released on September 4 of this year and included a few tunes off of their previous three EPs, entitled Imagine Dragons EP (2009), Hell and Silence EP (2010) and Continued Silence (2012). On Top of the World—a transplant from Continued Silence—combines fiercely honest, feel-good lyrics about the nature of human existence and the struggle we all go through to obtain happiness, and an insanely catchy back beat reminiscent of a cross between Rusted Root and Mumford & Sons. Check out their entire debut album here.
