About the Teacher
Kay Kay Clivio began her practice of Yoga in 1996 to heal a back injury she had sustained from competitive outrigger canoe paddling while living in the Hawaiian Islands. She immediately knew that this was her passion from the very first time she stepped on the mat. Since then she has been diligently working to further develop her studies and increase her understanding of what motivates her to practice and teach
Kay Kay has traveled the globe to quench her thirst for more knowledge in the ancient tradition of yoga; her unique style is inspired by her many great teachers—including Bikram, Ana Forrest, Baron Baptiste, John Friend and Shri K. Pattabhi Jois in India.
Kay Kay strives to give each and every class a unique experience. She uses eloquent and intelligent asana sequencing with a strong emphasis on physical and spiritual alignment, and her classes carry a nurturing, healing quality. It is her joy to help students plant the deep, strong roots that are necessary to grow a beautiful lifetime practice.
“It is my mission to guide my students to a higher level of self awareness and a deeper sense of physical alignment to help them find optimal balance in their lives, on and off the mat.”
Kay Kay moved from the teaching community at PURE Yoga in Hong Kong to New York in 2007 and is now a senior teacher at PURE Yoga NYC.

Kay Kay, on grace…
“Grace to me is a reflection of the Divine Energy. It is when we pause and reflect on beauty, in ourselves and all things. I feel graceful in my Zobha clothing. It expresses my spirit, my Divine Energy: Colorful, Playful, Strong, Feminine. I feel privileged to be part of such a Graceful group of women as those in the Circle of Grace.”
