About Your Teachers

Anais Haven: It was Argentine Tango’s raw honesty that first attracted Anaïs Haven and has not let go since. In her dance career Anaïs became the youngest soloist to perform with the New York Ballet East Company and she went on to become a soloist with Metropolitan Repertory Ballet Company. Drawing upon her immense knowledge of classical technique and musicality, Anaïs teaches and performs Argentine Tango throughout the United States and has been featured on NBC’s LX New York. Currently the director of the Argentine Tango program at Piel Canela Dance Company, you can find Anaïs performing and teaching at several of New York’s prestigious milongas.

Amalia May: Amalia teaches an alignment-based Vinyasa yoga as well as Restorative yoga, which is supported poses designed for deep relaxation and relief from chronic stress. She first came to yoga seeking relief from the stress of pursuing a career as a performer and immediately fell in love with the radiant energy and peacefulness she discovered in her practice. Having received her 500HR certification from YogaWorks, Amalia’s classes focus on alignment, breath and tailoring the practice to the individual. She teaches all levels but has a special fondness for beginners.
